OPTIMUM 380™ Premium High Range Superplasticizer
OPTIMUM 380™ is a premium modified polycarboxylate-based high range water reducer engineered for high-performance concrete, GFRC, UHPC, ECC, and self-consolidating concrete (SCC) applications. Designed to dramatically improve flowability, workability, and surface quality, OPTIMUM 380 helps produce highly fluid, self-leveling concrete mixes with reduced water demand and exceptional strength development.
Unlike traditional melamine or naphthalene-based superplasticizers, OPTIMUM 380 delivers superior water reduction at significantly lower dosage rates while maintaining excellent rheology and mix stability. The advanced dispersing action allows concrete to flow more easily into molds and forms, reducing or even eliminating the need for vibration while improving overall consolidation and surface density.

Recommended Dosage
Typical dosage rates range from:
- 3–5 ounces per 100 lbs. of cementitious material
- (56–93 mL per 100 kg)
A simple starting point for most mixes is:
- 1 mL of OPTIMUM 380 per 1 lb. of cementitious material
Example:
If your mix contains 34 lbs. of cementitious material, begin with approximately 34 mL of OPTIMUM 380 and adjust as needed based on desired flow and performance.

Overall great, easy to use, works well
I’m a beginner at concrete I’ve done maybe a dozen projects in my life with concrete 3-4 of those very large slabs 3k plus ft anyways definitely not a pro but with this product I’m getting a great finish we are using a small can for measuring definitely not exact science with me but it has worked great so far I use a little hand vibrator trowel and the finish is great for me I’m doing it in sections of 10’x12’ definitely worth the $300 bucks I believe you can make it go a long long way if you’re only adding it to your final mixes of concrete for the top Anyways love it highly recommend it and I’ll update if anything changes but I doubt it Also I might do my shop floor with it that’ll definitely be worth an update it’ll save me $5k or more in labor Best of luck out there Beginners don’t pour in the afternoon (heat of the day) and always have plenty of help
