Our reusable stepping stone molds are proudly made in the USA from heavy-duty 75 mil polystyrene for long mold life and multiple concrete pours. Each mold creates a detailed concrete stepping stone approximately 15.5" in size (slight variations may occur depending on the pattern or shape).

For ultra-smooth finishes, high detail, and excellent durability, we recommend using our Fishstone UltraCast concrete mix. UltraCast produces dense, high-performance concrete with outstanding detail reproduction and minimal surface pinholes, making it ideal for decorative concrete stepping stones and garden castings.

Recommended Casting Instructions:

• Fill each mold with approximately 5–10 lbs of Fishstone UltraCast360 concrete mix
• Add water slowly until the mix reaches a thick but flowable consistency similar to a stiff milkshake
• Apply a light coat of 20VOC release agent to help preserve the mold and improve demolding
• Vibrate or tap the mold for several minutes to help release trapped air bubbles and improve surface quality
• Cover with plastic while curing to retain moisture and improve strength development
• Allow the concrete to cure overnight or approximately 24 hours before demolding

After demolding, lightly sand any rough edges if desired. Finished stepping stones can be customized using concrete pigments, acrylic stains, slurry coatings, paints, exposed aggregate, glass, shells, or decorative inlays.

For long-lasting protection and enhanced color, seal the finished concrete stepping stones using an acrylic concrete sealer. Applying one to two thin coats with a foam brush or chip brush will help protect the surface while enhancing appearance.
