OPTIMUM 380 Premium High Range Superplasticizer, Gallon
Modified polycarboxylated high range water reducing admixture formulated to produce self-compacting type (S.C.C.) concrete.
- Produces extremely high spread rates
- High early strengths with improved densification of surfaces
- Improves workability and greater fluidity with reduced or minimal vibration
- Improves dispersing action resulting in concrete with “self placing” properties
- Very low water to cement ratios can be obtained with as much as 25-30% total water reduction.
- Greater water reduction and lower dosage rates than comparable S.C.C superplasticizers
- Improves flow (self leveling) with self-healing rheology
- Typical dosage rates approximately 40% less than of standard melamine and naphthalene based superplasticizers, while maintaining the same percent water reduction.
- Available in 1-gallon, 5-gallon & 55-gallon sizes
Recommended Dosage:
- 3-5 ounces per 100 lbs. of cement (56 –93 ml/100 kg)
- A good starting point and very easy way to calculate dosage is 1-mL per 1-pound of cementicious material. So if you have 34pounds of Portland simply add 34mL of OPTIMUM 380.

works well, easy to use
we use this to mix with rapid set cement all while doing leveling and sloping projects. buying this chemical in bulk comes out more cost effective than buying the individual bags of rapid set flow control however it does require a higher dosage to get the same affect. as with all plasticizers, it has to be mixed for at least 3 minutes sometimes more to get it to fully activate and work as intended

Overall great, easy to use, works well
I’m a beginner at concrete I’ve done maybe a dozen projects in my life with concrete 3-4 of those very large slabs 3k plus ft anyways definitely not a pro but with this product I’m getting a great finish we are using a small can for measuring definitely not exact science with me but it has worked great so far I use a little hand vibrator trowel and the finish is great for me I’m doing it in sections of 10’x12’ definitely worth the $300 bucks I believe you can make it go a long long way if you’re only adding it to your final mixes of concrete for the top Anyways love it highly recommend it and I’ll update if anything changes but I doubt it Also I might do my shop floor with it that’ll definitely be worth an update it’ll save me $5k or more in labor Best of luck out there Beginners don’t pour in the afternoon (heat of the day) and always have plenty of help
