Super-Six has been discontinued and is being replaced by TruCast SiX, Fishstone’s next-generation all-in-one performance admixture for high-performance concrete.

TruCast SiX builds on the proven Super-Six concept with an updated formulation designed to deliver improved flow, self-consolidation, surface quality, mix consistency, and overall performance.

If you previously used Super-Six, TruCast SiX is now the recommended replacement.

From Super-Six to TruCast SiX

For years, Super-Six has been one of Fishstone’s most popular admixtures for concrete countertops, GFRC, furniture, architectural concrete, and other high-performance concrete applications.

TruCast SiX takes that same convenient all-in-one approach and advances it with a refined blend of reactive mineral components and performance admixtures designed for modern self-consolidating and high-performance concrete mixes.

More Than a Replacement for Super-Six

TruCast SiX was developed not only as the next generation of Super-Six, but also as a versatile performance package for creating advanced self-consolidating and ultra-high-performance concrete mixes.

It provides many of the specialized performance components used in high-performance bagged concrete systems while allowing fabricators to source common materials such as Portland cement and aggregate locally.

This gives users greater flexibility in developing their own high-performance mixes while reducing the need to ship heavy commodity materials such as sand and cement long distances.

Already Using Super-Six?

Transitioning from Super-Six to TruCast SiX is straightforward, but TruCast SiX is a new formulation and is not a pound-for-pound replacement.

Important Dosage Change

TruCast SiX is not used at the same dosage as Super-Six.

Super-Six was typically used at approximately 5% of Portland cement weight, while TruCast SiX is designed around a substantially higher addition rate, typically approximately 20% of Portland cement weight.

Do not substitute TruCast SiX pound-for-pound into an existing Super-Six mix.

If you have an established Super-Six mix design, review the current TruCast SiX dosage and MixRecipe recommendations before converting your batch. Water demand, flow, fibers, pigment, and other admixtures may also require adjustment when transitioning to the new formulation.

Small trial batches are recommended when converting an established Super-Six mix to TruCast SiX.

What Replaced Fishstone Super-Six?

TruCast SiX is the direct replacement for Fishstone Super-Six.

TruCast SiX builds upon the original Super-Six all-in-one admixture concept with a new formulation designed for improved self-consolidating performance, flow, surface quality, and mix consistency.

Super-Six is no longer being regularly manufactured and will be phased out as remaining inventory is depleted.

For all new projects, we recommend using TruCast SiX.

Important Note for Existing Super-Six Customers

If you have an established Super-Six mix design, we recommend reviewing the current TruCast SiX dosage and mixing recommendations before beginning production.

Although TruCast SiX was developed as the replacement for Super-Six, it is an updated formulation and should be treated as a new product when fine-tuning water demand, flow, fibers, pigment, or other admixtures.

Small trial batches are always recommended when transitioning an established mix design to a new admixture.
